Institutional Film
The Agence Nationale de la Recherche entrusted SERENA Productions with a research film in the context of its research programme on cultural crossings between the East and the West since the 16th century.
The challenge: to film decorative pieces, “border-objects” in the palaces of Lisbon representative of these crossed influences, showing their beauty in a short film intended for an audience of researchers.
We chose to film, without comments, the spaces and objects adopting the visitor’s point of view.
After strolling through Lisbon, the visitor/spectator discovers, with a surrounding track by Jordi Savall, the grandeur of the places where the past and the present mix and East meets West.
